This piece is very similar to Toru II but no colour on the natural wood surface this time. I wanted the Maire to show all its colour. The texture is done with pyrography the painted with iridescent paints. The colour is very subtle this time and looks mostly black.
This piece received Fist Prize in Woodturning/Ornamental category at the Franklin Art Festival, June 2008.
